Loud Records Makes a Comeback with Asher Roth

A few days ago it was reported that Asher Roth signed to Def Jam Records, which was surprising to many of his fans and followers. In 2008, Asher was signed to SRC Records with Steve Rifkind, former founder and chairman of Loud Records. Rifkind is noted for signing Wu Tang, Mobb Deep and Big Pun in the 90s, and many more.
Loud ended its run back in 2002 and Rifkind started SRC (Streets Record Corporation). So when we found out about Roth's move to Def Jam, we believed that his career venture with Rifkind had ended. But Steve explained via his twitter account, "Not only are we partnering up with Def Jam on @asherroth album it will be under the LOUD RECORDS imprint."
Asher is the first act under the newly resurrected record label, but with Rifkind's history in the business good things are sure to come.
